How to Install Vinyl Stripes - SpeedForm F-150 Hood Stripes
This is a quick guide on how to install Vinyl, I am not an expert I am just sharing what worked for me. I highly suggest watching the whole video before installing anything as there are tips and tricks you may want to note.
This was the best $18 upgrade, I was probably around $30 all in with supplies.

Excellent video. Thank you for putting this out there.
So would you recommend on buying a newer Jeep Grand Cherokee?
Nope I’d say that model jeep was decent. The new ones are even worse. Older ones are better.
So a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee is a good year to have for a daily driver.
Please get to the point quicker on these videos
Another thing to check. For me, the electronically controlled flap would not move all the way open for heat. Had to look and reach under drivers side under radio to see it and nudge it manually while moving the heat dial.
I got it fixed and they replaced this and it’s not working again. It just sucks.
say I have zero experience working on cars (at least in the engine bay) is this doable?
If you take it one step at a time I don’t see why not. There’s always a first time.
Great Video, good pointers, can you do all updates at the house instead outside or does it have to be connected to the OBD port?
Are you asking if you have to be connected to the OBD port to install a different tune? If so yes you do. If you want to update the device itself and change the uploaded tunes on the device you can do that at home without it being connected to the vehicle.
music way too gay
You need hardwire kit if you want to record even your car off.
I want it to shut off when my car does. I figured it out though, I’ll need to get it hardwired to an accessory port that shuts off when the truck does.
Great review i love jeep grand Cherokees my first car was a 06 5.7 liter had it for a few years till i upgraded to a charger rt
I had the same problem, but I fixed it by putting some electrical tape on the brake lover. I did buy a new switch that cost me $33 at the Harley shop. I'm just going to save the switch in case it starts to act up again.
Mine is always on
I had to start unplugging it because I noticed the accessory didn’t turn off at least not right away and over months it drained my battery. So I now unplug it when I get out. I’m going to be installing a kit to hard wire it in.
once he did a pull, "oh yeah no nvm this is nice 😆"
Isn’t easier to put a button or make a button to cut the electricity on that plug instead of keep take off all the seats and out again
Agreed!
Having same issue 🤦🏼♀️
How is it at starting in the winter without having a block heater
I didn’t have any issues with it. It didn’t like shifting into gear when really cold out. I’m saying below 15F.
I never pull out
Is this piece in the mk5’s as well?
I’m not really sure. It wasn’t hard to do so you could check physically if you have one.

Too many problems with Fords, they feel cheap, noisy, run rough, sensors go out, fuses, body parts separation, bought a brand new Ford Ranger, drove it out the lot bang, engine is pinging like there is no end to it, took it back got my money and bought something else! Got a Ford F150, all kinds of issues, these are brand new vehicle, got a Ford Taurus station wagon, head bold broke leaking coolant into the engine, yeah, final straw 2020 mustang, low fuel pressure sensor focked, noisy as hell, sounds coming from everywhere, transmission clunks when parked up in my driveway and changing gears! Bumpy as hell, most mileage I can get is 28 on hwy. Dealer wanted 500 bucks to replace the sensor, WTF is wrong with Ford? Overpaid nut turner at the factory, and cutting cost by using subpart parts? Last Ford I ever drive. 👎👎👎 I jump on a Honda and wow what a difference! It actually save us money! Imagine that!
Lame hey guysthis my video I'm tell you how I took it to a shop and another man fix it for me cool dnt worry all tell ya step by step what I did not do but I'm so cool hell ya
Is the seal supposed to rest on the tailgate or in front of it
How is it lining up for you? I thought I showed it in the video, I have a terrible phone signal right now but I can check at a later time.
@@CarsCouches it’s good no leaks.Thanks
This is a Really bad video please take it down
Good take 👍🏼
Definitely not as simple as many think. I own a 2006, 5.7 Hemi Jeep Commander. It, unfortunately, loves to randomly strand me. Crank No start or No Crank No Start. Turns out it's not just the yellow trigger (corrosion) wire to the starter solenoid. Check all grounds throughout the car. (more corrosion) Chrysler managers/executives were in panic mode when Dalimer-Benz took over. From 2005 to 2013, the company's wiring is problematic throughout all lines. Chrysler leaders skimped on parts, quality, and testing. They behaved in a job preservation mentality. Dalimer-Benz insisted on sophisticated, Bus Com Port Wiring, single wire two way communication; 20 or more sensors, having to report back to the brain, The "ECU". Untested & poor design of the the cowl allows rain to drain right over-top of the ECU. (corrosion) Defective sunroof drains easily & commonly clog, which flood, the front foot wells. Under the carpet of these foot wells, are multiple bundles of wires. (corrosion). The ECU after 20 + or - sensors report back; has the job of sending ground (connectivity) to the starter relay, fuel pump, and fuel injectors. The two boxes; relay and fuse box, are complete junk. $400-$500 each. The exhaust manifold bolts, universally break and allow heat soak to entire engine compartment & transmission, causing transmission overheat lights. Two exhaust straps around the muffler allow more corrosion and heat soak to the transmission. So what's a guy to do. It's a love hate relationship. My Commander is juiced & has upgraded braking. It's a thrill to drive and the exhaust note is music to the ear. I'm a long way from giving up. As a community everyone, please share any insights you know or gain about Jeep issues & fix's!
Your way of removing those retainer c-clips was very smooth. I saw you pried against the donut-shaped metal cable housing thing... I was afraid of doing that, but it seems it's not a problem. Any other tips for getting them freed easily?
Steve is not really posting or commenting on the channel anymore. I think what was in the video is it. Sorry I couldn’t help more.
You're going to also want to apply some "Aladdin magic lube" to that oring before you install it or after you’ve slid it into place. Not only does it lube the oring to help it seat properly in the fitting but it also provides a watertight seal AND conditions the washer so it won’t dry out or get attacked chemically. It’s the same stuff that is used for pool filter orings to make a watertight seal. Putting it in without that is just going to fail again sooner than if you put that lube on. It’s a PTFE based lube but do whatever you want. You also want to apply that same lube to the small orings on the inside of plaster quick connects for the same reason. Use a q tip to apply and smear onto the ring. Oh one other thing. if the nozzle adjuster squeaks or doesnt turn freely there is another oring under there you access that by pushing the long metal pin out and pull the black part off. its a larger ring (dont know the number) but if it is intact you can clean that with soapy water and then lube that up too just make sure not to cover any of the air holes that are adjacent to it. replace the piece, put the pin back in and you are golden.
All season tires are absolute trash in any weather
Good take 👍🏼
How much of a difference does porting the manifold make?
Barely any if any at all. But mine came ported and it was the same price as non ported at the time so I got the ported one.
Thanks for your reply I was debating on porting mine myself and porting the throttle body but knowing my luck I'm better off leaving them alone
where in the video does it actually show the process of you removing the piece because all I hear is your mouth. not informative at all. less talking more doing!!!
Sorry I couldn’t help! I’ll note that some people need more than what I provided so next time I make something like this, I’ll do a better job.
I was testing this model at home and I eventually got over the driving limit. I put my mask on and called the local police station, gave them my address, told them I was a criminal and within 20 minutes they came and arrested me. Thanks for the video bojangle!
Glad we could help 👍🏼
4:10 you come off vain and unwilling to educate others. Most of your example seem exaggerated. We should educate the car fans, not shame them. More hate bmw drivers and gmc corn fed country drivers. I get that, but why get upset? You failed by not educating them. They are proud of their cars, most are poor and it's there 1st car. They listen to car nuts praise the cars as magical, but no one corrects it. They need to be humbled, but not everyone has 10k to dump in a car.
Thanks so much for the video. Did it today and it was super easy after watching you do it. I used a small Phillips head screwdriver with some painters tape on the end to protect the plastic to pop off the old one.
Glad I could help!
Hello, what exactly is the little yellow plastic for and have you put the little plastic back?
It’s what delays the engagement, the whole point of the delete is to remove that yellow piece so there is no delay.
Nice
Mine heater core lasted 2 years
How is your civic today?
He sold it! Sure it’s still great.
@@CarsCouches thanks! Just picked one up with 11k miles gonna give it some tlc hehe
dudde the f music is ass why put music over you talking is so bad
2 thermostats
Great tips!
Did you replace both thermostats or just 1
Is the PCV valve hose the inlet? I'm mounting one, and don't want to reverse hoses.
Trying to go off memory here, I thought the two hoses were the same. They come with the kit. If you scroll to the end of the video it’ll also show how it’s mounted at the end. Around 3 min 55 sec.
Hi. Do you cut the rail? I just tried install it and I have same problem with rail too big, like a half inch. I have plastic bed liner too, and it make the rail more long than we need. I'll cut it tomorrow but I not sure.
I did not cut the rail, just installed it as is and it barely fit. The plastic bed liner is what makes it an issue but it’s worked fine so far for me.
Well done. Thank you
Do you oil rust proof your golf r especially in winter? How is the corrosion warranty in vw? Thank you!
I don’t think vw warranties corrosion. I didn’t rust proof and the underside looked pretty good after two years. Not sure if you go longer than that though. As long as you keep salt off and clean your car properly it’ll last longer than the engine would lol
@@CarsCouches VW does warranty corrosion least here in Canada, it's just the claim process takes genuinely forever sometimes
Sounds like a terrible idea that will fail pretty fast, why not just take the time to learn to replace it and do it yourself at least that way you learn something and build skills and all while keeping yourself busy which most people I'm this country need to learn to do
Call is running crazy over this
What's the plug look like to connect to the device
To connect it to the car? It’s an obd plug
I agree…
I wonder if you use a press to push the cap down a bit would help release the c clamp on there....
This might be a nice combo with a high airflow filter and a intake airflow relearn thing (the thing you do after tou clean the throttle body)
